ABOUT

“If Pollock, Saint-Saens and Duffy had a love child with Ann Gale and Svankmayer this would be it.” Radek Vizna

Clare Ross is a Canadian artist whose work has sold internationally and has received numerous awards. Often juried into notable Canadian exhibitions including at the The Ontario Society of Artists, The Society of Canadian Artists and The Aird Gallery, she seeks to inspire conversations about beauty, the environment and our place in it.

Her artwork dives into the deconstruction and reconstruction of objects from nature. In this process she explores the opposing desires we have all felt, to be fully immersed in nature and its beauty but to retain the many modern comforts we’ve come to love. Her work can be described as fantastic, irrational and unthinkable. Such is the foreignness of her creations.
Clare’s limited edition photographs are meant for the fine art connoisseur. Photographs are printed on archival watercolour paper with archival inks, are signed and numbered. Each limited edition print is sold with a certificate of authenticity. Editions are out of twenty and can be found at various galleries or directly through Clare.
Because Clare sees her work as for everyone, she also makes her work available here at a lower cost on art paper and canvas and as cards, all of which can be framed for the art appreciator at any budget. These prints are not signed or numbered but are printed with the same rigorous attention to colour.

To be a part of Clare’s creative discovery, follow her on Facebook, Instagram, or soon Tik Tok! On social media Clare shares videos and images which give insight to her creative process and the ideas behind her work.
