Here in this bouquet, plastic is supportive and strong, joyous with colour, thrilling and outrageous. In nature I explore and am willingly immersed in all things green and growing, fleeting and fading. I am thrilled to witness and understand the way that each life draws from one and feeds another. The rare moments of existing amongst, instead of scattering, the wild lives around me are deeply satisfying. I quietly look for creatures of all kinds and see a tracing of their lives in the rearrangements of objects and the imprints of one life on another: tiny branching structures, marks on leaves, paw prints, grassy beds and broken seedlings. They all tell a story. I prefer not to step on those prints, not to take down the branches and not to leave my leftovers in the way of the next creature who follows along, but I know that I do.
